| What would it take to prove just how much we have in common? This is the inspiration behind the film “KAMOME” made to show the auspicious friendship between the citizens of Rikuzentakata, Japan and Cresecent City, California. The residents of both cities share a passion for working on the ocean and a deep love and respect for the dangers as well as beauty of Mother Nature. The shared tragedy of a tsunami revealed a bond of loss and resilience – a Oneness of spirit and shared humanity. Through their story we too may realize the bond shared with all others on the Earth though we may never see or talk to each other. No matter where we are, there are others like us who labor and love just like we do, brothers and sisters on this planet we all call home. |
