Robina Asti has always loved flying. She was a commercial pilot and flight instructor, and flew for the Navy in World War II. At 92, Asti tells her story of living as a transgender woman since 1976, and her fight against the Social Security Administration (SSA) in the U.S. to be treated like any other widow. Through engaging in activities like singing or chanting, we can experience both physical and spiritual benefits, such as an increased sense of peace and calm. Different types of music can even alter our brain waves, guiding us from an active and alert state, to a relaxed sleep state.
