Dear friends,

On behalf of Pema and The Pema Chödrön Foundation, we want to take a moment to wish each of you a peaceful and prosperous New Year.

This has been another fruitful year for Pema and the Foundation. Pema’s new book, How to Meditate, was published in the spring, our Book Initiative has provided thousands of Pema’s books to people in need, and our annual Virtual Birthday Retreat was enjoyed by more than 10,000 people from 110 countries.

In addition to our support of Gampo Abbey and the nuns of Tsoknyi Gechak Ling in Nepal, 21.jpg we’ve just begun to support a group of nuns in their three-year retreat in the remote region of Menang, Nepal, nestled in the heart of the Annapurna mountains near the border with Tibet.

Pema is getting ready to travel to Gampo Abbey to lead the annual seven-week winter yarne retreat. She’s asked us to send along her love and best wishes for the New Year, and her most sincere thanks for your support and interest in her work.

It’s only because of the help of friends like you that Pema’s activities are flourishing and that her message can be heard during these challenging times.

Much love to each of you from Pema and all of us at The Pema Chödrön Foundation.
